Common points of failure
Busy night at work last night as one of our common points of failure started disconnecting sections of the network at random. Spare parts; we don't need no stinking spare parts. With all the money being poured into the "new" network there has be painfully little spent to support the "old" backbone that will remain. Since the part is out of warranty they are scrambling to find parts from the vendor even though they are available on eBay for next to nothing. :-)
